First and foremost - What is a lunch & learn?
Each day at 12:30 pm EST for the week, we will come together on zoom and learn a different skill that is going to help us get more done in the most effective and efficient way that is ultimately going to make your life EASIER!
This means being able to find more time for you to get your self-care cup filled.
All of our time is precious.
We don’t have a lot of energy to go around.
We have to be conscious of where and what we can do.
I don’t know about you, but I grew up in an era where you had to be a “good girl” and help everyone else before yourself.
The over-giving, the people-pleasing, the "if you want it all, you have do it all" mentality.
Then cancer hits and you wake up and realize, "I have got to take care of me!"
But HOW????
You can’t make more time. However, you can utilize the time you do have in a much more effective way.
Then, with this extra time you just created, you can create a new exercise routine you can stick to consistently, amongst other goals you may have.
Then, you can create boundaries around people, places and things that no longer serve you. Boundaries are clarity for everyone, including kindness for yourself.
No longer will you feel the frustration of not having enough time for what you want, or the people you don’t want to be around either.
Clarity is kindness.
AND maybe you’ve never set a goal for yourself or never really had to do it in such a way that enabled you to accomplish one.
Because that’s huge to set goals and achieve them.
AND, of course, what if life derails you as it often does? How do you stay on track or get back on track? Whether it's changing schedules because the kids are out of school, going on vacation, or life just throws you a curveball.
You'll learn what to do, and how to keep prioritizing your goals, by creating habits that boundaries help you sustain.
We are diving into the HOW this week on the lunch & learn.
HOW do you practice self care?
HOW do you create and incorporate habits consistently?
HOW do you set & stick to boundaries around people, places & commitments?
HOW do you even set goals that are realistic and attainable, if you’ve never done it before?
What do you do when you lose track or life throws it all off balance? How do you keep the mindset to constantly stick to it for your lifestyle?
So much of this is about how to create more time, space & energy, which are in such a limited supply these days.
We are all limited on resources and abundant with to do lists.
